Default 8IGHT Truggy

Took me 6 tanks of fuel to break in my 427 on my new LOSI. I plan to take very good care of it so I broke it in right and temp tune it, I keep a close eye on the temps and have a tendency to run it a little fat so I dont burn it up. Some guys just don't care. It was an expensive car and I don't want to dump un needed money in to it.

so im puttin the speed piston and sleeve in there and when i get more money ill do the speed conrod as well. i wont go back with os ever again because of this. and its a shame because the engine preformed great

i heard that! i run a speed right now that had a bad carb basicly roight out of the box, called them and they said..... sorry but we can fix it for you at 40 and hour plus all other costs, he got pissed at me cause i said screw that ill just run the GRP carb that i have been runnin on it! and also the soo called ceramics they put in them at the factory only lasted a gallon and a half!
huh......... nice mill for 500 bucks right! it is freakin fast though with a ebmods 2041 on it at around 10min run times! im on 4 gallons now so i hope it lasts. my next mill will prolly be a nova as they are workhorse motors there! and they last!i doubt i will run an os again as their cust. service sucks!

Not the Tuned version bud. Ours have the modded crank, 367 turbo head, turbo plug and all 4 carb inserts. Look again at the link I posted.

Here is a comparison of the cranks. The siim has the modded, filled and slugged crank.

Since we talking bang for the buck here, you could get a Go EBM5-RP its a 5 port engine with a coated crank, throttle slide and wrist pin, it has a TKO rear ceramic bearing (made in the U.S.) and each engine is assembled by Ed Bridges himself and broken in as well in a controlled enviroment. Street price $279.99.

The closest you can get to an american made engine, with better specs. then the speed at a realistic price. then there is always the full mod version. engines are available now.

os dosent stand behind the high end race engines theay sale i think any $500 dollar engine that needs bearing changed after 2 gallons is not a good buy
