retofitting my JRXT with new rims?
does anyone know if it's possible to put new rims (from any manufacturer) on an old buggy/stadium truck, in particular a Losi JRXT?
if not a direct replacement are there adapters available?
not interested in a new vehicle as I already have several, just interested in rebuilding an oldie.
thanks in advance.

The JR-XT rims have a lot of offset, the bearings are at the inner edge of the tire.
Most current truck rims would make it narrow, and may not fit. I think the 5 link rear would be the worst, not sure without checking.
The mountings are the same as far as I can remember, not counting the new CR, just need enough offset so the tire clears everything and it doesn't end up real narrow.
Good luck, I'm working on restoring my original very early Losis too.

why do that when those old rims look far cooler than the boringness of today

I'd agree. There's nothing wrong with the stock rims other than they're a pain to mount the tire on 'em. It is possible to convert the 5-link to a standard a-arm setup using XXT suspension arms. I swapped those in on all four corners on mine and the only other thing I had to change was longer turnbuckles.

tough one
the 2.2 tires of today will definately fit the old rims but it could be tough to find new rims to fit the old axels.
let me know if you find anything

Many modern truck tires don't fit very well on the JR-XT 3 piece rims. The old Losi truck tires have an extra groove in the bead, that works with the 3 piece rims. New tires I've tried won't seat correctly.
Junior T one piece rims might work with new tires, not sure.
I think HPI made the most popular non Losi rim that fit in the day.
