I used this switch on my mtx3. It does add weight, and it does drain power in the "off" mode. After about a week or so, the battery was discharged. Also, my computerized battery charger would not charge through the switch, and I had to by-pass the switch in order to charge the battery.
Anyone want to buy it?

It is not the alu vs the composite ones that makes big changes, rather the shock top plastic cap that is too thick to housing the ball. In the even of hard crash with broken arm, you will also get broken shock body (maybe even shock tower) as the shock could not move freely on its mount becuase of that thick body. Cut 1mm thinner on the top cap (so the ball have more play) and that problem will be gone forever. The worst is on S710 front shock, it doesnt allow to move sideways at all with original configuration and parts. Just cut it thinner 1mm, you will have no more breaking shock bodies in the even of craked arms.

What are those tires trued down to 51mm??? And that fancy rear window cutout sheds 175 grams right there Did you have that scale calibrated by USDA? I do have to say that is a sweet carbon fiber face plate scale you got there.

My clutch works great stock so what will I notice by cutting the flyweights down?

I don't know why some work and some don't. Mine slipped for 20-30 feet before engaging fully. It works fine after the mod.
My advise is, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I just bought a pair of aluminum front shocks for my 710. I was told after awhile the platic ones starts to wear out a bit and can bend or get a bit out of shape. I just had to get it since I wasnt finished with my car yet and I would hate to reinstall the shocks again I think the aluminum ones are much better, at first I thought it felt like plastic silver shocks that was just in different color. I couldnt really tell the difference in weight compared to the plastic ones. I kept asking the shop, are you sure these are aluminums?( like 5 times), thats how light they were To me the aluminum ones are much easier to work on and everything screws in just perfect. They ran out of the rear ones, should have it by today from their other shop. I thought aluminum ones were much heavier but the 710 shocks are so light compared to other aluminum shocks I have seen I had to scratch the shock with my thumb nail to see if it was really aluminum Its Chinese New Years here and we have a week off and its been raining this whole week Still havent been able to run the car yet, but at least its finally built

Default G4 vs 710

you will feel and see
actuallly we did sell more G4 then 710's
were a world wide online shop so we have some sight on this
but the time will prove on this one too, see the past what happend (mtx-3-mrx3)
its G4 time Now dont't look only to the local track of-course there will be there more 710 but for how long.....
G4 rules this year
its not only a-point of a car but also you need a good driver for it...
so we will be at the the Winternats and see what is right again last year it was the NTC3 first second mtx3 third mtx3 and no ..
but i put my money this year again on the ntc3 Barry Baker
Serpent is ok but the attitude is a little on the high side
