Anyone know of these parts and if they are going to be on the msx car kit or just separately?

How has the msx conversion been? Getting mine soon. Any difference in setup from the MS?

Just upgraded to MSX, DJ module and spool. The car is a rocket, better than before and the car was very good before. We did have some problems with the car late in the race. Found that it was carrying more corner speed and it was ripping the tires off of the rims Will glue tires better. Even with tires coming off of rims it was TQ 19turn and 2nd in main. Would have been first but tires were making car handle bad late in race Thats the kind of corner speed I'm talking about

Still using 415 setup. I'll be testing other setups soon to make it even better!

I only race on asphalt, but for a 8x1 I would say start at around 20-24mm. It just depends on the size of your track, motor teardown and the way the motor is tuned.

Wait. You're using a TA04 belt pulley for the front and a TRF 415 onr for the rear ? Didn't it occur to you that they were not the same size ?

This is just an experiment car. Pretty much chopping up my TRF415MSX for fun. I don't run it. Just wanted to see what fits from my spare parts. I run my HB-Cyclone.

how is that f201 steering rack working, it looks like it would take alot of the slop out of the steering.

Before the MS upgrade and DJ module was the 415 setup with one-way or spool?

Lets say you were using a spool before having to upgrade would you experience any similarities with handling between the previous setup vs. the current upgrades?

Key- I was running a Yokomo diff. I have a Speedtech spool but it never worked right.

I have the original 415 with light weight suspension not the MS version as I had upgraded the 415 to near MS. Then I installed the MSX upgrade.

With the MSX upgrade the car corners better probably due to the significant reduction in the height of the bulkheads.

The DJ module seems to give more rear traction without taking away steering. Letting the car push harder into corner keeping up corner speed.

Tamiya spool- Nice to have a spool that works right. So far has performed perfectly, has not suffered from the wheel chatter that some other spools have problems with. I think that it makes the car very stable with 19t and mod (more consistent).

Just my first impressions

I'm thinking of ordering the Titaniumracing spool for 415.
Can I order it directly from Titanium racing or do you recommend some other place.

I believe RCmodel in Hongkong have them, but if you buy it there you for certainly have to wait at least a week before they respond and send anything. Even if everything is in stock, so buying directly from TiR should be the best choice.

TRF415boy - thanks for the concern. have raced 1/12 mod 4cell for about 16 yrs. there are no other 415's in my area and was just looking for some ideas on a starting point. a local x-ray guy is giving me some advice, but i would like a Tamiya driver's thoughts. we race on a 66ft by 42 ft track (ozite), so it is tight and short.
