Exactly Xray and AE springs work on the 415 also.

And yeah randy, seems we agree on that the narrow car isn't suited to low grip.... Although I am not running mine anywhere near as narrow as yours, I think my car width 187mm.

I am running 185 front and rear still, I was having problems with a little on power pushing, so that is my next fix in the setup, cant wait till its gone, this car will be a rocket!

I know this was answered before, just can't seem to find it. What effect on the chassis does raising the rear blocks, versus leaving them flat on the chassis. I keep hearing different responses from guys at the track

I will try to post my set-up soon. Of course it's for foam/carpet. I keep hearing guys wanting more steering and they are modyifing their car in order to obtain this...I would change the set up before altering the car. I like to have may car with as much steering as possible and I still had to dial some steering out of it with my set-up.
This car has more steering than you will ever need with the correct set-up.

Locked Center Aluminum Pulley?

Hi guys. . . What's the effect of the locked center aluminum pulley (hop-up part) on the handling of the car? I'm running the standard 415.

Someone told me that it will be useless unless i'm running a spool up front.

Thanks for the spring info...

Is Marc R's setup sheet from the LRP2004 race a good starting point for setups on carpet med-med/high grip running stock/19T?

or is there another one recommended since his setup takes into account he runs mod?

Right off the bat, with a one way and a solid center layshaft, the car developed more turn in. I always run a solid center now. Makes it easier to change back and forth between a spool, diff or one way since you dont have to take half the car apart lol.

I wont mess with the 1 way pulley again either, lots more off-power steering with the locked pulley.

Battery hold down !

What do you think? I came up with an idea using a TB-02 battery hold down and 414 steering posts and the blue tamiya hex wheel hubs. It's all Tamiya parts! I'm going to ask Fred if it will be TCS legal, since they are all Tamiya part. All I need to do a test to see if they truly hold the batteries in. Here are some pics!
