Carl,Jamie hit it right on the head. There the same as Cyan magenta. Thats all I run anywhere in stock. For the most part most A-main drivers prefer them in stock and mod at all the major races. I was running purple plaid for some time than this winter switched and was amazed how better my times got,I thought the softer tire would slow me down but actually helped.

Carl,Also I love the new Parma tires.If you ever get in a bind contact Jon at Surge he carries them, he'll hook you up
I ran the Trinity ORL race this weekend and started the day at 57mm cyan magentas and ran 2 practice runs and 3 heats and the main and tires now are 56.10mm,so tire wear is great.

The way Korgae from Jaco explained it to me was that Dbl Pink is softer than purple in shore rating, the construction of the Dbl pink gives the tire less side bite and more forward bite. This equals faster rotation. This is also why shore ratings don't tell the whole story.
Plaid = Orange/ Purple
Cyan = Orange/ Dbl Pink
Magenta = Dbl Pink
Purple = Purple
Unless you are running on some slippery carpet where the car needs more sidebite I would always run Orange/ Dbl Pink and Dbl Pink.

Right on,when I run plaid purple I always wait on the car and also have traction roll issues

Carl, in the TM tires, that is what I was running - Cyan/Magenta. Nice rotation on the car. I could get the back out when I forced it.
I do notice that I hear the Parma tires scrubbing more than I hear the TM's.

About damage control and the 415:
The layout at Hobby Chamber is silly bad. There is NO line through there. If you make a mistake you are hitting something head on - usually at top speed. When you hit these triple 2x4's the sound makes everyone go 'ooowwwh'. Losi's are mangled....Xray's are bent....TC3's are destroyed.
The 415......in my hit impact......I broke the plastic apart of the shock cap that is at the top mount and shattered the rim......essentially, no damage compared to the rest.
People say 'it is hard to get 415 parts'....not really, the car doesn't break so you dont need them!
Will be testing with the stiffest XRay springs Saturday night. Anyone try them yet? They are a step harder than AE's hardest.

It sure is! and he stole it!!!
rough: I've driven a T1R before, and that was the kit I used to win last year's christmas race (at least my class). The 415 would blow off the doors of any kit that comes by! Check out my last quali run, they had to open up my motor and check what it was.
Enjoy the kit!!!

maiden run..
Well, after a battery's worth of practice, and two round's of qualifying, I got my car pretty much dialed for the time being. I captured TQ in the 3rd rnd, and walked away with the main. This is the same track that Rafaelli, and Carl are running on. Very technical, NO STRAIGHTS. THe longest straight path is approx, 15ft. You guys gotta see it.
I ran a BOX stock kit, with a couple exceptions.
Blue rear sway- modified to fit better.
A bridge/ C frt block.
B block/ X block in the rear.
White belts one click loose on both trans.
Evo IV kingpins.
Running stock, gearing 102/27 with a ROAR LEGAL dual magnet.
Tm Racing Plaid 3- DBL Blue/Black frt + 1mm shim
TM Racing Purple rear 59mm.+1mm shim
Associated 30lb springs rear, and 27.5 frt. Shocks are vertical, and 60 mm long... Droop on hudy, 6 rear/5 frt. - 2 deg camber all around.
.5 mm raised blocks in rear, .5 raised a bridge only.
DUAL ONEWAYS. Parma ALfa Romeo. Right now I could not ask for a better driving car, shortly after the holidays I will be right back on the track. I hope this helps guys.
Carl, Chris, I cant wait to get together for sure.. Jamie maybe one day, I may have the silver bullet. Your car was rockin'!!!!!! I cant complain from my end though, run stock and we will see.......

Raul: how many laps did you run. Based on your gearing sounds like I was way overgear with a ROAR legal binary2 motor. 102/32 at 57.6mm, roll-out almost 26mm.
Chris and I did some serious impact testing on the left side of the track. I hit the upper left corner of the track, coming off the sweeper at full speed. The sound against the 2x4 was unbelievable.
Where did you get the .5mm shims. The kit comes with 1mm and .7mm to use as stand-offs for the syspension blocks. Option part???
I'm rebuilding my entire car this saturday, a lot of damage from last week...See you after the holidays. I knew you'd love the TRF.
