I see you guys are trying to make a front diff for the 415. As I just purchased one and race on a tight carpet track, I would be very dissapointed if Tamiya did not make one available to the general public. Is this a product Tamiya will offer in the future?
I have not yet opened the box of the car and I cannot seem to find part numbers for parts or hop-ups on the Tamiya website. I would like to try and oder some today while I am at work. Does anyone know where I can find a list of part numbers and hop-ups?
Thanks
Joe

kumpol - Speedmind tires
Your Local Hobby shop should be able to order them from the NA distributor (Magma International) www.magmarc.com They are commonly referred to as the "multi compound" tire.

Actually, I was wondering just that. You should be able to use the rear diff in the front, just flip it over and the belt alignment should be good. I'll have to wait to assemble mine to see if that would work!
Thanks

front diff
You can't use the rear diff on the front. The rear diff has the pully closer to one side of the bulk head. The front diff has the pully in the center between the two bulk heads.
I agree...Tamiya should make a front diff, as they have done with all of their other cars. But they don't currently have any plans to do so.

AHHH...I just looked at a picture of the 415 on the Tamiya website. You are correct. You canot use the rear diff. The belt for the front diff runs right down the middle of the chassis and the rear diff is off-set to one side.
I assume that since they have released front diff's for their other cars they will release one for the 415. It's only a matter of time.
I might actually like the front one way. At my local carpet track, I never use the brakes...if anything I let the car coast. I have never run the one-way but I cannot imagine it being too bad if I don't use brakes!

Is there a way to use two of the longer diff halves from the rear diff??? Might take a little machining.....
