To get the metal air scoop, you will have to get the Tamiya 415 MSX Marc Rheinard Edition Refine 2 kit.

Well, she's all done and ready for her virgin run next weekend (thanks to Scott Barnes - my electonics wiring guy ...and chassis prep man, when I'm patient enough to wait ).

Does anybody knows the part# for the oneway diff for the MR?? The oneway of the 'regular' MSX doesn't fit, neither with the TA05 pulley

Guys, you'll should read the small print on the box. It says items inside may not be the same as pictured. Pictured is the Car driven by Marc Blah blah blah..... I wasn't surprise if there's no air scoop. But it would've been nice to add it in though.

But I've got something to rant about...!! I'm missing one ball end...! I 100% sure that I've not dropped it on the floor for my dog to eat it.

maybe it's due to the thickness of the pulley. not sure if tamiya released a different oneway unit to fit the MRE. if not then you have to use TA05 pulley and mill down the center.

Well ...I hate tape, but there is a local racer that said he tried the same thing last year on his 415 and it ended up beeing "done" in 2 days, so I guess I have to just sack up and deal with tape

Does anyone know if the MR edition belts are longer than those on the MSX and earlier 415s? I understand the diff pulleys are 1-tooth larger, but it seems reasonable that the adjustments in the bulkheads would allow for this difference using the older belts.

Just trying to see what parts are needed to upgrade.

...hmm interesting question, so this would also mean the transmission ratio is different, the MRE insert did not have anything about the TR, so I assumed it was the same i.e. 2.187 ...does anyone know what it really is?
