maybe the extra super hurricane power can compensate for the lack of motor when racing against shane mini

Good luck to everyone who is running in the Hurricane Motorsports All-Star Series tomorrow at the den. I am sure there will be some great door prizes as usual, and hopefully Brad's dad wont have to work so hard tomorrow.

Default Charging

I have some Hurricane GP3700 6cell packs and have some charging/storing questions.

1. I charge with a LRP Pulsar 2 at 6 amps. Whats the recommended mV cut-off? I use 20mV but possibly should increase it since the packs are only around 40 degress C when finished.
2. When I'm not going to use the batteries for 2 weeks or more, what charge rate should be in them (empty, 1/2 full, full)?

Thanks!

Just wanted to say thanks to the hurricane guys brian koch and kevin kane for helping me out with my car on sunday at the allstar race. Another great race, and the series keeps getting better. Gold brushes were awesome on sunday.

Teo.....you might want to bump that cut off to 30mv. The packs should peak out at about 135F to 150F. If its temp is colder in the area where you are charging you can increase the cut off so the cells get warmer.
When the packs are not going to be used for 2 weeks or more just put 300 seconds of charge back into them. Make sure that you discharge them before the next charge. If there is anything more you need just ask.

Wallstreet.....No problem....thanks for the Dunkin...

Yeah Brad and crew is leaving today so any orders placed this week will not get out until next week. There should be packs in stock....and you might be able to get a good price on some GP3700's if you call him and see what he has to offer.

Hey Kev, I picked up a couple Hurricane 3800s from IRP last weekend. I'm sure that charging information is buried somewhere in here, but I was wondering if you could help me out. I'm still on a Novak Millenium Pro, which I believe sets the mV cut-off automatically. Other than charging them at 6 and discharging them at 30, what should I cut it at on the discharge... 0.9 or lower? And is it OK to run each pack twice any given sunday?

Can't wait to lay down some voltage this weekend.

Good luck to our locals at Champs!
