Default Castle Nue Motor screw length

How do you determine how long of a screw to use when useing the combo motor. I do not want to short out the windings but you cannot see how far in the windings are. Someone mentioned there is aplate inside so you will bottom out before hitting the windings. I do not own this motor but a buddy does and I would like to advise properly...thx

I checked out my Castle/Neu 2650... and it easily has over 8mm (5/16") of thread depth. And there is a plastic ring inside to protect the windings, so that's really nice too.

If you are concerned... simply thread the screw in by hand until it bottoms out, and if there are still threads left, check against the thickness of the motor mount.
