The mullet challenge will also be pulled for this years event due to the CDC finding it to be ground zero for the swine flu. Harshguy will also be put in a clean room and scrubbed down before showing up to say hi at the reedy. I apologize for any inconvience this has caused to the racers that already entered. We will be issuing "HUG" refunds to all those entered. Please see AY in the pits for what's coming to you
We will have fun no mattter what or I will be making fun of whoever no matter what. See ya'll next week!!!!

Hi Guys,
it was posted that it is a copout that the companies are not sending the drivers because of the Swine Flu, Actually it is the cause of the last minute drop outs from the invitational class. We had confirmations from most of the invite drivers previous to this situation so the companies were planning on sending the drivers and supporting the event.
Across the oceans from us in Asia, The Swine Flu has been made out to be the worst plague to hit the US in decades! This is no exaggeration! The news reports and print are all about this huge virus that is here in the US. This has caused over reaction by all companies over there not only in our industry.
Unfortunately it has caused companies in our industry to reconsider sending their employees/drivers to the US due to this current situation.
We have considered all scenarios to continue this awesome event and we all feel that the change to the World Cup format will be a the best format considering the situation that is upon us.
Since we are using this World Cup racing format, I would like to give credit to the originator of this format. It was originally designed by Jean Marc Bitticher from Switzerland and had been used for many years at the World Cup race in Europe and is an awesome format to use for racing.
Yes the change in the format will be different from the RROC that we have all been familiar with, but that does not mean change is not good. I am confident the racing will be just as exciting and thrilling as it always has been at the RROC.
Rick,Sean and I all appreciate your support and understanding in this and look forward to seeing everyone next week for another great Reedy Race of Champions.
Thanks
Scotty

just to be clear, for us mod drivers, exactly how many times do you have to say, "thats your leader" before i have to move over.
I wasn't thrilled about racing the "fast" guys but the heck, i might actually move up a place or two in the B main.

I guess the Europeans are not too worried about the Swine Flu. LOL
I understand what Scotty's talking about when it comes to Asia and their thoughts on the flu. I watched a couple of news broadcasts from asia lately, and they are treating it like it's the Bird flu epidemic.

Somebody make some "No Swine Flu" stickers for the event!
