E-Revo gear ratio?

E-Revo gear ratio?
Just wondering if any one knows if the gear ratio's between the non-brushless and the brushless are different? I just got my MM with the 2200kv motor (the same that come with the E-Revo brushless and it's not any faster then it was stock. I am running with two 2S 7.4V 6000mAh with a 20C rating, thought it would be faster right out of the box.
