ok, thanks.
As for the new track in northern NJ.....how was the turnout? What's the size of the track? Just curious were the carpet was ordered from? What's the popular class?
thanks,

Turnout was really quite good this week. We had 13 heats with probably around 65-70 entries. It was a lot of fun.
The track is small: about 25' x 40'. It's an oval. The carpet is ozite-ish. Very good bite. The two most popular classes are 1/12 scale modified and touring car modified. They also are the most competetive classes. I run in both so that ups the ante. :-)
There's very good pit space and the guys are friendly and helpful for those who are new to the sport/track.

ok, cool! Thanks for the info. Just to clear things up....you said it's an oval track? No infield? Is there a contact # I can call?
thanks,

Well, it's an oval and then they run a small infield road course (just a little blip) on the front straight for touring class and add jumps for the truck class. This is in addition to the regular oval racing for those classes. It's a long night--about 4:00 to 12:30ish. Next race should speed up a bit though.
