When I returned to RC racing there was no VTA locally so TC is what I ran. I quickly found that I was concentrating on getting out of the fast guy's way instead of just focusing on my own line. In doing so I caused more wrecks than I avoided. So when I just accepted the idea that it was the faster guys responsibility to get around me, then everyone on the track had a better time of it. Not that I won't go a little wide in the corner to make room for passing. Its just that I stopped any big gestures to get out of the way.

One of the things I liked most about VTA is the slower pace of the whole event. I still face an active role in being overtaken by faster drivers, but the whole thing is less dramatic.

By the way guys when we are all standing on that drivers stand together. If my car gets tangled with yours you will usually hear me apologize. It doesnt matter if I think its all my fault or if I think you had your part in it to. Its just good to stay cheerful and courteous on the drivers stand.

[QUOTE=HarryN;5666746]Every time the mains start, I am always bashed and hacked and even knocked out of the lane and lose a lap. /QUOTE]

For our main race I look who I'm on the driver's stand with. Many times depending on who I see I'm racing against I take a slow start to let carnage happen in front of me for the first turns, then drive around it all.

Maybe you should try that?

Thanks. I posted and then went back and just didn't want to keep that whole thing going.

All I will say is that I had a great time and I hope I didn't affect anyone's day with a move that was overly aggressive or overly stupid.
