Same here, if you take a small drill bit to the bottom of them and smooth out the first mm or so they are easier to thread...

Do the thumb screws come ith a threaded shaft? I am looking for what parts I need to run a taller battery? I have two SPC 7.4v 8000mah batts and they fit but are tall. With the body clip screws that come in the FT T4 kit they are only in about 3 or 4 threads so i need to get longer ones. What do I need?

The AE thumb screws come with threaded long screws. You can adjust the height on them. They look like a long set screw.

i think they are so much better then clips because they look nicer but they for some reason they never get lost like clipss..

Bryan, have your lap times improved since going with those marvelous AE thumb screws? I know mine certainly have!!

Oh my god they have been the biggest improvements on my car..i reccomend that everyone gets them it made my lap time an average of 1 second per lap faster.....they are like rc gold...

yeah stickers and thumbscrews have improved my laptimes by a good 3 secs

Yeah but if you put stickers on your thumbscrews you can gain at least 5 seconds a lap. I talked to Cavalieri about it at the nationals. He really didn't want me to say anything about it for fear of his competition finding out. He said every now and then he dresses in a disguise and takes the stickered thumbscrews off his car, puts a body with a different paint job on his car and goes out and races sportsman. He says he's getting better and better but why work soooooo hard to be fast when you can just put stickers on your thumbscrews? Makes perfect sense to me. Try this little gem out and let me know how it goes!

Since converting to thumbscrews on all my cars I got a raise at work, met the girl of my dreams (funny tho, I still only meet her when I'm sleeping), my hair is starting to grow back, I no longer have E.D., I lost 30 pounds, quit smoking, my eyesight has improved, my teeth are whiter, I get a more restful night's sleep, my cholesterol went down, my I.Q. went up, and most importantly I picked up 3 full laps!!!
