Default Graphite chassis for converted 8th scale

I'm suprised I havent already seen this, but has anyone attempted to make a carbon fiber chassis for a electric converted 8th scale? It seems like this would be sort of an evolution away from the aluminum chassis...or maybe even a plastic style chassis sort of like B4 or XXX material. What do you think?

i have some extra kevlar cloth, looking into making chasses and radio plates for my Caster Fusion, waiting for more epoxy resin to come in and then I will try it out, should drop a good bit of weight off!!

Matrix Concepts has a carbon fiber chassis for the Losi 8ight and a complete conversion that makes it look like a huge B44 with the upper deck and everything.

Damn that's expensive stuff.. what's the weight savings over aluminum.. It's can be enough of a weight savings to justify the cost.

I really look for a company like EXOTEK or KMRC to do one that will 100% mimic the layout of a B44.I was looking into making one But the 4mm graphite plate is like 135.00 for a peice large enough to cut the main chassis from and another 35.00 for a peice of 2mm to cut the top plate from. I am sure the guys at exotek are working on it, or should be if they wanted to make some mad loot.

Mr. C has 2 version of the Carbon Fiber conversion, Bomb-Proof Products had a Carbon Fiber version too of it's truggy conversion. The Matrix chassis is looking very nice. There's one guy in rc-monster who made a CF chassis for his truggy, but he used a flat sheet so no kickup was made.

Atomic Carbon made a graphite tub chasis for one of their cconversion. I don't think it ever made it into production though. There are pics somewhere on Oople.com. It's called the S8
