Can any Xray users please confirm or deny if these new 40c 5200 packs will fit in the 008 or 009 xray with the new lipo weights attached. Im just about to drop some hard earned on these packs but if they wont fit then im up shit creek.

Recently I sent one e-mail to SMC

Hi,

I’m a Brazilian Pilot and bought a Lipo Marck Rheinard Battery of 4700mah 40C, I use it for races with Stock 9.5T LRP engines, certified engines by LRP in Brazil.

Well, I’ve been having some issues with this battery, it starts to swell after 5 minutes race. This month began the LRP modified Championship, I use the 4.0 Engine and the battery swelled so much that opened the hard case, after chilling, it turned to normal size.

Here, I use rubber tires, Esc LRP SXX and engine 4.0T, usually the room temperature is between 26C (80F) and 35C (95F), to compare, I have batteries, LRP 5300 28C, IP 5000 40C and Tune-up 5000 30C.

I would like to know, what should I do? Should I send you the batteries for analysis or something like that? I Bought the Battery at RC-Market store in 05/09/2009

I appreciate your kind help,

Thanks and regards

Perhaps the email did not reach Danny. You said you sent it once....maybe try resending it. I will ask Danny if he got it. SMC always stands behind our products so there should be no concern on your part.

Nice...I like rceletrico. I'm trying to get a couple of guys to put this C rating "or over rating" to a hault. There needs to be a new way of safely rating lipos and by trying to out do another company and posting higher C ratings is not going to cut it. There's a company even claiming to have their own way of rating lipos which is even more absurd. If the guys I contacted agrees to do something, we should get to the bottom of this and I hope the lipo brands out there will learn to better rate their products.

Does anyone know if the 5200 50c clad lipo will fit in the t2 009? I'm doubting it will without the xray lipo balancing wrights but what about with them? It looks as if the 40c did. Also up until a few moments ago I had been looking at the 5200 lightning volts 24c, is it worth the extra $50 for the cmax 50c? It'll just be used for stock sedan 17.5. Thanks!

Even with the lipo weights youll also need the lipo spacer kit to raise the top deck otherwise the lipo will create tweak on the chassis when flexed.

You might notice a little more punch off the line, but I don't think it would be a large amount of difference...

Unless you're geared to the moon...

Default 50c Punch for 13.5 stock

Hi im running an SPX speedo and 13.5 stock.

Im thinking about getting an 50C+ SMC 5000 Cmax lipo. Question is whats the punch like for stock spec racing?

Also do they have the humps on the bottom?

Cheers
