Well I buckled over and bought a novak spy, and just a Team Orion Elite Stock motor, and some crappy sanyo batteries to start. I havent got it running yet (no transmitter batteries left DOH), wish me luck!!

Hopefully I can buy some KAN cells and solder them a little better than I did to my sanyos (reeeeeeeally bad stick pack!), and maybe a speed 300 to satisfy my need for speed. I do have a feeling it will terribly slow with just a stock motor and the fact that I practically demolished the batteries when I was soldering them .

Heres a pic of my craptacular m18!!

My darn receiver is HUGE!!! So is your (church) servo!! I cant wait to get this thing running, just need to charge some my pack and get some AA's for my transmitter

And I cant wait for some KAN cells and a speed 300

I have heard of REALLY bad cooling problems with 180 size motors , what pinion should I use, and what should I do get more cooling to it?

I'm interested in purchasing a Micro.
Has anybody raced their M18 yet? I'd like some feedback about the car and if anybody has a comparison to the Micro RS4.

Thanks in advance.

MADHAT- I hear the M18 is pretty awesome out of the box.

Anyone know when the Xray carbon chassis comes out or maybe have a picture of what the rear mechanism for the carbon plate is that holds the rear shocks to the chassis?

Yeah...that's a nice micro but you can't call it HPI. There's hardly an HPI part left on the thing.

Out of the box for $100 the M18 rocks.

Something tells me you'll change your tune when you see tricked out X-Ray's too...

HPI's CAN be made to be quick....but from the box the XRay just blows them away...

Yes HPI's CAN compete..but it will take a lot of work and/or a lot of money to keep up, the handling is just THAT much better

Windsor is correct! I have a micro and have driven and driven against a Xray and there is now way to keep up when both are stock! The king of our track had a best run of 51 with his micro for about atleast 2 months and with his first day with the xray he got 54 !!!

Yep! With rear toe in, true suspension with real camber and roll center the Xray is most definitely formidable out of the box. But don't rule out the HPI yet 'cos they are still winning very competitive A-main modified races here in SoCal
