Default kyosho vs ofna

for entry level club racing which is better the kyosho mp7.5 or the ofna ultra lx one.I know both are rather dated in terms of 1/8 scale buggies but those are the options.please no buy a used this or that on ebay please

I think that is a hard one only because the 7.5 is dated. I do now know about parts support for that kyosho but the OFNA I think would be easier to get parts so I would go with the Ofna just for that reason. Now if someone knows of the Kyosho 7.5 still has alot of available parts than I would choose the other.

i would suggest that you get a jammin cr x1x they still make them and easy to get parts for. but if one of those 2 get the ofna like chris said easier to get parts for.

I actually had one. Only thing I would say to upgrade for sure is get CNC steering knuckles if you can. They are known to break the stock one. Other than that it was great for me. The .28 in it screams.

I would recommend buying the jammin rtr x1 buggy same platform but a little better parts and you can always upgrade

I think you would be better off with the 7.5... parts are still readily available online at AMain and other sites. Also, a lot of the later 777 parts can be used as well.

Very simple. Go to the LHS and see what they have for parts. The rest will take care of it's self.

Hands down the 7.5 would be better. It is old but a race bred buggy. LX One is okay but cant hold a candle to Kyosho. I would even have a old 7.5 before any of he new Kyosho Ready Set crap thats for sure.

Parts for the 7.5 can be found everywhere. Also TONS of aftermarket stuff out there. And as previous poster said many 777 parts are interchangeable.

If that is the case with parts then go for the 7.5. if most 777 are interchangeable then you can make it one bad buggy

I would suggest the Kyosho 7.5. You can always get spare parts for Kyosho cars. I still have a Inferno MP5, and I can find parts. In fact, I've raced that 10 year old buggy at the club level and still been competitive.

A great source for Kyosho spares is Ultimate Hobbies (http://www.ultimatehobbies.com)
