All it takes is just a little time and patience and some detective work. In pictures that you see everywhere of his pit, homeboy uses a tray. He also said he uses a peak detect of 6mv. Who does Barry run for? Reedy. What is Reedy's competetion charger? The Quasar Pro. That charger detects per cell. Multiply 6mv by 6 and you get 36mv. LRP is what you have, try 35mv since it only does 5mv incriments. As for setups, look for his setup on AE's site, they're dialed.

In my experience, the Stratus produces a more "balanced" handling, while the Alfa produces more steering. With the large wing on the Alfa, I find that I have a lot of steering AND a good amount of downforce to keep the rear end planted.

I prefer the Alfa - seems to make the car feel a bit more agressive. The Stratus makes my car feel a bit numb overall.

Barry,
What's your opinion between shaft and belt cars, and why is the trend of new kits now are on shaft, are belt driven really that bad? Or still depends on who is driving?

Barry: have you had a chance to try out the new Pt in 6 cell sedan? i heard it was designed primarily for 4cell racing but am cusious if it performs well in TC. by design it seems to be more of an RPMish motor so do you have to gear down significantly and use less timing compared to the Kr? and after all is said and done, would you say that the Kr is still the better motor for TC?

thanks and good luck in vegas! ... especially if you plan to go gambling! HA!

The new Reedy mod coming out was made for oval racing (oval is 4 cell racing), not touring. You can use it however you like, but it was built with the idea to turn left foremost in mind.

Wilfred,
it always depends on the driver. Belted cars aren't bad, indeed many prefer them, just as many feel that shafts are better as well... don't shoot me for an opinion. More opinions would of course be more helpful. You can also search this topic on this forum as it is very contreversial and has been endlessly discussed (and yes, I know you want Barry's answer, just trying to help you a little).

I agree with losirob about the body styles and how they affect handling.

how do you decide what inserts to run in your tires? if you do.
i usaully use hpi meduims with CS27 tires, when should i use harder or softer inserts?
and also if its not to much to ask, do you drill holes in your rims? why?
thanks heaps! i'll be able to say "barry baker advised me on how to choose inserts" WICKED!!
thanks agian

Default Torque Steer

Hi Barry,

Do you have any advice on reducing torque steer in a TC3? The person I am asking for uses mainly 8 turn mods on foams. The track is outdoor asphalt.

Thanks

Congrat Barry,

Now when are we going to sit down and work on that class with you and Billy like we'd talked about a few months ago?
