after recently checking them ALL out due to the fact it is hard to find a pack that will fit a xray T2 I ended up buiyin trinity's new 3800 35C lipos
these packs will fit anywhere and come with the testing numbers like a matched pack and all 3 bullet plugs and have the nubs on the bottom to fit a TC perfect I.R. is under 10 I called trinity and they said they are roar aproved
these were the intelect cells my dealer sold them to me for $85 a pack

I'd definately recommend the IP3800 packs for both performance and price

SMCs are the hot setup in this neck of the woods. The 4000s fit just about anywhere it seems.

The IP4200 will also do the job nicely and is reasonably priced.

25C IP3800s are probably the best priced pack for all classes, with the exception of modified touring. I found that low FDRs (10.5:1) on 3.5T brushless motors would use all the capacity the packs would give and they'd suffer a bit from heat expansion.

IP3800 35C would be the lowest I'd recommend for anyone running modified, but I think ideally you should be looking around the 25C 4400 to 28C 5400 mark and know that you'll have a high enough continuous amperage figure with enough capacity to last 5mins.

LRP 5300 Competition are what I am using now and these are fantastic for low wind brushless motors on large outdoor tracks. Not once have I had a capacity or heat issue with these packs and they keep going strong right to the end.

Incidentally, with a 13.5T brushless these same LRP 5300 packs can be used for more than 15mins (3 heats/finals) without any noticeable power loss. I'd actually estimate around 18mins runtime when geared with an FDR of 5.2-6.0, even with the motor timing turned up for more punch etc.

Also I wouldnt worry too much about the pack heights, you can get a lipo tray or use spaces to raise the top deck a couple millimetres (which seems to be the solution the T2'009 is using!).

Here is a link to the IP4200; same manufacturer, same power as the IP3800 but with more runtime.
