We (KO) have been looking at these cells for about a year now. They seem safer, but the voltage isn't as high, yet. I'm sure it will just get better with time as with other battery technology.

Does this means there will be tamiya cars prepared for A123 batteries?

If yes, then this is great news. I always wandered why A123 weren't more widely used in rc cars

Considering at this point they only offer a A123, and not a LiPo, it is a possibility. Anyway the Nanophosphate pack will go anywhere a stick pack can go, so there need to be no redesign. Nanophosphate is much more basher friendly.
