i ran my SC8 at OCRC this weekend, they put us in with the mod slash class, it wasn't fair at all i ended up putting a lap and a half on the field in a 5 minute race. i think it needs the copper front springs and maybe 5 weight heavier oil in the front end, but it was pretty dialed.

ESC - Mamba Monster (best controller out there right now)
Motor - Neu 1512 or 1515. If you're running 4 cell lipo (most are), choose either a 1512/2.5D or a 1515/1Y. If you're on a big track, gear up and use the 1Y. There are others to choose from if you are running a different voltage.
Battery - Polyquest/Hyperion/Flightpower use the best cells available. You'll want at least 5000mah, maybe 6000mah
