Don't forget the www.thebadlands3.com. It is an awesome track in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Fall Brawl is coming up the first weekend in December.

Too bad the CRCRC Midwest Champs isn't having the class this year.

I have yet to see an electric buggy, to me at CRCRC club races, they are a myth. Since the intrest is low, at least what I see, the 1/8 buggy class might happen for the 2010 Jan race.

It was the 8th scale electric demonstration class at 2008 CRCRC MidWest Champs that got me interested in 8th scale electric. I built one between then and now thinking that there would be another 8th scale demonstration class at the 2009 MidWest Champs. I know a lot of others that did the same and are disappointed that CRCRC has chosen not to include them in 2009.

IF you don't fill the 10th scale registrations for 2009 would you consider allowing those unused spots to be filled by electric 8th scale (as a demonstration class)?

looks like they should dump Prod MT in favor the SC8 (nitro) and Slash (electric) CORR Classes in addition to 'E8th'

wonder if the nitro weenies at motorama will let some flashlights run.

R

1st event at top of thread is 'invite only' , c'mon just pros??? let the folks who put the time, effort, heartache, and $ into making these things work and viable the opportunity to run.

Default Interesting

Invite only? Wow guess this hobby is really going places! Why then would they make that information public????? Can we have a list of the invites?
Maybe they'll get black listed else where. If I were a top brand, I would make sure my drivers are NOT there.

Yeah electric 1/8th scale would be great! Can we plan on it for this January then?

from what i remember the reason they gave for not having them with the electric program is the track will still be too new and soft and they fear the 1/8 buggies will rip up the track too much.

CRCRC does not monitor this thread. You will need to go to the CRCRC thread and petition Big Dog. There have been quit a few enquires for electric 1/8th scale, but he says he has not seen one yet and thinks that 1/8th electric buggies are a myth.
