www.castlecreations.com
site where in they recommend going with the CM2650 for 4S.
The site indicates that the 2200kv is 75mm long and is best suited for 6S
and the 2650kv is 67mm long and is best suited for 4S. I'm currently waiting
for the 2650kv to be shipped out for my E-Revo. The MMM V3 should be
available by the time the motors are ready for shipment. Best for you to
check out the site, there's a whole lot of information there. Done Novak and
Castle. Both are good, I just prefer Castle.

The 2200 will be best for 4S truggy use.
2650x14.8V = 39220 RPM => too fast to race!
I forsee much failure with 2200Kv at 6S aswell.

Everyone has their position and that's great.
For my purposes I factor in gearing, final drive
ratios, 2 or 4 pole motor, motor can length, etc.
then I check what others have done if only to
avoid costly trials and experiments.
Works for me.

It doesn't have as much to do with "position" as it does having the best suited system. The 2200kv motor (Nue 1515 sized) is a bigger motor and better suited for a truggy. It will be GREAT on 4s for racing and stupid-fast on 6s if you're a crazy basher type. It will run smooth and cool.
The 2650kv motor (Neu 1512 sized) is better suited for a 1/8 buggy.

Thnx to you all.
I will be runnin it in my Buggy and Truggy switchin back and fourth every couple races or every other race.
My local track you really needs lots of grip and lots of smooth control...to much on the throttle and ur sittin backwards facing ur opponents comin towards ya....cuz the dirt is really loose.

I imagine it will be the most reliable and affordable package to date. The Novak is pretty "smooth" and wins with their sensor, but I have my doubts about it's longevity and reliability. Same with Tekin.
I already have the MMM ESC (version 3), and will probably get the motor soon as well. Not having a sensor, they will never win in the smooth department in the initial power band department. But Castle is getting my money because thier customer support and I feel it won't break down on me (crucial for racing). I'm speaking from experience owning converted 8th scales.
Hope that helps anyone. My 2 cents.

I believe that is the same combo Traxxas is putting in their new Brushless E-Revo combo they are coming out with early next year.
This is just an assumption, but I imagine it would have had to go through some kind of performance/reliability tests. At least I hope it did

with 2 6000's in my Caster fusion and the Castle system with motor I got 25 minutes, running it as hard as I could. the motor was warm but I could still keep my hand on it........the brake were the same everytime as well. This is an awesome system, so much power and so much fun.
