This is amazing, i'm not talking about the cars themselves, but actually being strapped into a remote drivers seat with a real steering wheel, real gas and brake pedals, etc. being able to race R/C in a first person perspective as opposed to third person like we've been doing since the conception of R/C racing. Even though they're using the system on 1/4 scale cars on the website, i'm sure it could be adapted for our 1/10 electric sedans and whatnot.

I'm sure the prices are astronomical though .

That looks like fun, imagine if they raced using those.

Looks like you are playing Gran Turismo or something -- not much different. I like seeing my car in the real world instead of a glorified video game myself. It is pretty cool technology though.

Hey guys. I race real karts and thats pretty cool. Even though you dont have to suck the G' forces, and feel the speed, it would lack the adreniline I would think. Having the G forces, speed, sound etc.. is the whole point of karting, I think a lot of people would prefer that a lot better.
Dont get me wrong, this is very cool and have showed a few of my friends. But I wonder if you can use it in like real cars to go to the store or something in, now thats a good idea.

I have wireless video equipment which could easily be installed into a 1/10 scale car, probably even 1/18th also... The camera is about the size of a transponder and the sender is about 2"x2"x 3/4" inch thick and run off 8 AA batteries... It's not totall out of reach to do... But now it just becomes like playing a video game... You have a 1 dimensional view and no way to see or feel what the car is actually doing...

Oh... I use this equipment to videotape my ex wife when I pick up and drop off my son... She has no idea... hehehe...

Just my thoughts..

But when you crash in a video game you just hit the reset button.
It would probably be pretty cool, just not for me.

It might be better if there was peripheral vision. . .side monitors.
