I think that Steve Weiss mentions it on one of his setup sheets.

008 chassis gives more steering/009 chassis easier to drive w/ low traction

Hope that helps.

FK05 Lover: might i ask what thinner gauge plastic did you use to replace the spacer? just really curious

Sure, I have an old plastic parts container with removable dividers,

The dividers are 2/3rds the thickness of original part (no 305577) at 1.5mm compared to the divider plastic of 1mm

I use a divider (cheap) use the original part as a stencil, use a body reamer to make the centre hole & 3 holes around it, then cut the remainder with sharp scissors...takes about 3minutes

Hope this helps

Hi mate,

I have a 008 and run a 009 main deck. Other than the battery being moved slightly forward and further out from the centerline of the chassis, along with the ability to run the fwd motor conversion, I felt that the 009 chassis made the car easier to drive/stable (less rotation in corners) over the 008 deck.

But this is my personal opinion.

If anyone has a pair of ECS driveshafts 50mm long I have a pair 52mm long I need to swap. They're brand new in bag, and I want yours to be likewise. Just bought the wrong length for my 007.

Wouldn't the Chassis difference be null and void with the introduction of lipo???? Mount further forward / back?

Has anyone tested the forward motor mount? What was the perceived effect?

So, perhaps if you option up an 008 with some 009 parts, light weight axles etc you'll end up with an equal machine, just cheaper

From 008 to 009 (rubber tire racing on parking lots/perm outdoor tracks)

Must haves:
009 main chassis
roll bar bars

Nice upgrades:
thinner topdeck
fwd motor kit
ECS cvds
narrow hexes

Other upgrades: (not required but nice)
alloy shocks
roll centre mounts (2+mm)
l/w axles and cvd bones

My car a month ago.
