How do you guy's like the 09' over the 08' car?

Its basically the same car there are some extras with it all the lightened parts the lipo conversion......But if I had allready owned a 008 I wouldnt have bought the 009.....I have driven a 008 and the 009 does have a little different feel and seems to get into the corner a little better but not enough to have made me buy it if I had a 008 you know.....It does look sweet with the orange though....

I have an 08 but a guy at my track "scratched" his new 09 chassis and had to buy another chassis so I took his old one of his hands for $45. When I put it on my car I noticed the car had more turn in due to the battery placement being further forward. But what was cool is now I essentially have an 09 for $45 dollars 
....minus the lightweight drive shaft parts.
Harry, not trying to burst your bubble but people hope Xray doesn't release a new car every year, every year. I am sure there will be a 010 but that's just the way Xray operates

Well, the one thing that is irking me about the T2'009 is the composite diff, and the fact that I just learned that the T2'009's lightweight axles have a habit of bending if you hit a wall.
Is there anything else that people recommend I should think about in "upgrading" to the T2'008 parts for more durability?

I havent bent a axle yet and I have went "Dukes of Hazard" a couple of times...
......The comp. Diff is great if you can drive it the fixed oneway is my favorite....I did notice that I have had two bearings fail on the right side diff carrier so bad that it squealed....I sanded and polished the new diff shafts and havent had a problem...Dont think it is a big issue just a fluke probably but they were both ceramic bearings...

Would I notice a difference if I put steel CVD's in back in replacement of the aluminum ones?

Harry, The composite spool works really well. Even the mod guys use it over the Multi diff. If you need more durability then you can go with the alloy drive shaft adapters.

The rear aluminum drive shafts are less durable than the spring steel. They are easier to twist than the steel. So again if you think you will need more durability then the Spring steel units are the way to go.There have been other cars with front and rear alloy dog bones that bend and twist also like the RDX and the Cyclone. Ask an RDX driver how many dog bones they have gone through
You could get the ESC for the front and move the front spring steel to the rear

A guy a nexus this past weekend had the ESC driveshafts and they kept falling apart. He said they didnt improve lap times they juts got rid of the annoying chatter.

ECS shafts
I ran the ECS shafts last weekend at a series race. Practice - 2 classes - 4 qualies and the mains (a lot of running)....no problem. When I built them, all I did was lube the crap out of them, locktite the set screws and didn't overtighten them (i've seen the cross pins break at the flat spot).
Did they make a HUGE difference...no. The car was smoother in the corners though.
