XRAY T2’009

It depends on the track, motor and ESC.
But nobody can tell you right away what is the correct gearing.
We take a look at the motor temperature and go down with gearing till we wether overheat the motor or acceleration is too low (based on lap times).
We drive Xray T2'009, T3'011 and Associated TC5 and TC6 and we are all around the same gearing with the same motor on the same track. Difference is more to driving preferences.

Weighed out my car today on the 4 baby gram scales I have to check it.
Here's what it weighs ready to race minus the body.
passenger side front is 324g
passenger side back is 289g
drivers side front is 311g
drivers side rear is 308g
pasenger side is 613g
driver side is 619g
So the car is almost dead even left to right balance but pass side is more towards the front. Hard to adjst that cause I cant move the battery back. Car is pretty light I must say. 1232g without body seems light to me.

Drivetrain question
Just checked my T2 009 EU against the online instruction manual.
The manual says it should have 34T pulleys at the front and rear which it has. However it also says that the center pulley should be 20T for the rear and 16T for the front. Is there a reason for this? Is the 009 EU suppose to be under driven? Mine has 20T for both front and rear on the center pulley.
Does anyone have the 16T center pulley for the front on their 009 EU? If so can you tell me how it handles vs. using a 20T center pulley for the front?

Look a pic below which this is standard. You can put on different sizes but you'd have to get the right belts too. Some change out the pulleys and such to get different final drive ratio for non-ramping classes. I have the foward motor potioning setup and it came with different belts and pulleys too. So if you got the car used, it might be different.

However I don't see why the difference in drive ration 1.7 vs. 1.9 would make the car drive easier. Utlimately its the FDR you are looking for isn't it? Since I run zero timing, the 1.7 is easier to gear for me than the 1.9 If someone can explain why 1.9 is better, I would appreciate it.

motor in the chassis. The closer the motor to the front, the more overall steering the car will have and vice versa. Hope that helps any? So if your car has plenty of steering then leave it as is for your non-ramping class.
