I have tons of 48-pitch pinions but no 64-pitch, so what should I buy?

Will be running a 6000kv brushless motor on 2s. Track is indoor, green plastic outdoor carpet, typically very low grip.

You can run it 48 pitch. Pick up a few 48 pitch spurs.

My 009 is still whooping ass in the 17.5 class at Chippenham winter indoor series on a track 30m x 16m in the uk. i have tq'd at all 4 meetings so far. beating the new tcx, t3'11 and 417's so it shows the car can still hold its own.
I was thinking of trying the Exotek chassis??

Default WHAT SHOULD I DO

I am pondering the following:

1. keeping my 008 as is
2. selling my photon and upgrading my 008 with an exotek chassis
3. selling the 008 and top photon and buying a t3'11

what do you reckon

The Exotek chassis is nice. The finish of the chassis ain't as good as Xray, but the performance is mindblowing. The car is much easier to drive = fast. I went from doing 23-24 laps (struggling to do 24), to do easy 25 laps.

No doubt that the car as it was, could do 25 laps - but it is much easier for me with the new chassis.

I have also gotten Spec-R 34T geardiffs for my '009 - now I can do 26 laps
2000cst oil in the rear geardiff, and 500k in the front = <3

Yes, I do. Before I bought the Exotek chassis, the car was still a good car. But I did have a problem with the rear end sliding, if I threw it into the corner. With the Exotek, that problem is gone.

good to hear. Rear is a bit (alot?) loose on mine as well.
How did you mount the lipo ?? Even with the Exotek it isnt still 100% lipo friendly.
Easiest way to get lipo in , for me, may just be undoing 1 of the top deck screw then puting the screw back again. A bit of a pain.

I flipped the belts in mine, and pushed the lipo out as far as possible with the steel weights. But even in the outer lipo position on the Exotek, it is still further towards to center than normal. But with the flipped belts, I could push the electronics further towards the center.

I chose smaller lipos (GM 4200mah) in order to get it to fit under the topdeck. But even with the smaller lipos, I only need 20g to balance the car.

A buddy of mine has a xray t2 009 with parts. spool, new diff, arms, c-hubs, ect. The car is in excellent condition. My question is...........im gonna put a 7.5 in it and run mod, is it worth getting? He want $250 for it. I don't wreck much at all.

It depends on the parts, I'll be honest in saying that that is TOP dollar for a 009, definitely not "friend" prices... I will also say that you will love the 009, it is an awesome car.

I couldn't agree with you more. Great car but 250 is top dollar. I just bought a 009 2 weeks ago for 375.00 With a Tekin RS /Tekin 17.5 / Futaba 9551 servo 4 sets of brand new rims and tires and a garbage bag full of spares. I gutted it and sold the roller with spares for 225. I would either talk your friend down on price or wait for one to come through again.
