I just bought a used 009t2.I just noticed in the instr. manual that the rubber edition takes one kind of a-arm ,and the carpet car another..'
"I am supposed to have the rubber spec edition" .What should be stamped on the a-arms?And what is the difference in te 2?Can the car run with different types of a-arms.?Would the car handle different with foam spec arms on a rubber spec car?This car has an X and an H stamped on each arm.But the stamped letters are on different places on each arm it seems.

I believe the rubber car uses the (H)ard arms, and the foam car uses (X)tra hard arms. The arms are geometrically the same but one uses a harder plastic than the other. You will want to run the same left to right on the car... preferrably front to back as well.

Apart from the suspension arms, there are a couple of things that are different too. This include thickness of lower deck chassis, teeth in the pulley, and harder material for axle hub. Basically a carpet chassis is designed to be stiffer that the rubber spec chassis. You can you this chassis for asphalt but will not be very responsive especially if it is a technical course.

From the information I have gathered, I have the rubber spec car.It has the 2.5 lower chassis and the right upper deck.The only thing I can see wrong are the a-arms.Three of the arms have XH stamped on them, and one has just an H stapmed on it.Is this going to throw things that far out wack..,.I will certainly be back with more questions as I find more things wrong with the car.

Depends on your level. It will only make the TINIEST bit of difference if you are at the level where you push the car hard enough to make the arms themselves flex. I would replace the one H arm, with an XH arm, just so the car is even. The vast majority of what makes the rubber car flex more than the foam car, is the chassis, top deck, and how many screws you use for the bulkheads and topdeck.... you're fine.

Can you run the Spec R gear diff in the t2 009?

it says it fits the T3 but doesn't mention the t2 009.

And also if you can use the 38t gear diff, can you run it with the 20t standard centre pulley if you change the rear belt??

I am getting an ungodly vibration when I turn the wheels right or left.
Someone said the "ecs" parts will fix this .
Searching Nexes racing, I came up with two options, part number: "305277" and part number:"305327" which ones do I need? and do I just need them for the front to solve this problem.A guy at the track had this same problem with his T-3 and he replaced them with the ecs parts.I saw him go full throttle while turning right and left and it was as smooth as glass,but I did not notice if he had them on the rear.I saw them on the front though.
