Useless post sorry. Just not letting this thread disappear into the 2nd page!

Anyone have any idea when the new compact differentials will be available?

Hi

I firstly would like to thank Luis (SP_Racer) for taking the time to talk me last weekend. Team Magic Australia (Zauber Imports) have a great asset there!

My debut weekend could have been better... Car was getting better, but i am also struggling with engine tune issue which isn't helping.

In the end Radio / Battery issues took me out in the final and you can see the results with the following photos.

feel sorry for you there bundy, i am not a fan of those flying wing arms. it is fragile, big disappointment on the biggest race i was in, one traction roll put me out of the race and it happen to be a new one that i just replace...

Yep. Lou is a top bloke.

You need to sort out that steering link rubbing issue dude. Free that up so the assembly does not hit and make is so stiff. Thats your battery issue taken care of. The power draw when your steering is so tight is what was killing your reciever battery.

Was good to see you racing again though mate.

Hi Toby

To be honest i am starting to think it might not be the battery pack after all. This is the 2nd time in a month i have had an issue with a throttle servo. Two different cars and different brand servos (which is what i thought it was at first).

I should have tried the steering at the time, but didn't think of it... When i got home i turned radio gear all back on and everything worked again.

Need to do some more problem solving this week.

The receivers sit very close to the motor and over heat. A lot of G4 drivers have complained about this issue and like Luis said put the receiver on the transponder holder. I myself didn't do that but when i built my car and installed the receiver i put a piece if 5mm perspex (with some holes drilled in for cooling) in between the motor and the receiver holder and just used a big cable tie to hold it all together. I just didn't like the idea of my receiver hanging out on the side like that and preferred the protection of the stock position.

Sorry to hear about your loved one mate I hope you get back on the track soon
