Will Lipo packs like maxamps 7.4v fit on the slotted chassis (for nimh cells) of the Losi XXX4?

I ran the losi 5000mah lipo in my XXX4 this summer. I had to turn the battery strap over and grind off that little nub and it worked fine

Most of them will fit with little or no effort. Of course you will likely want to add a little weight to the right side to better balance the car.

I've got a XXX4 +g and my SMC 5200 won't fit unless I raise the battery hold down posts.

My smaller lipos fit without issue, but that one is just too thick.

When I ran my XXX-4, I ground down the tabs that stuck up on the chassis. Didn't have to do anything to the battery strap after that. I ran Orion 3600 Lipo's in it BTW.

I've got an orion 3600 and a zippy 4000 that fit without issue with the tabs grinded down. It's just the 5000 that doesn't fit.

I run Orion 5000 packs and as the others said, I ground down the nubs on the chassis so it would fit and flipped the brace over to the flat side. I also added a side block so that the pack wouldn't slide out of the side. I saw it happen to another racer a few times and then it happened to me once.

I probably should add weight to the battery side, but honestly I haven't noticed any performance problems without doing so.
