Hey guys,

Question for those in the know:
How does the F104W chassis handle in comparison to the normal F104?

I'm driving on low traction asphault and was wondering if it would be advantageous to get the f103 tires/front arms for better handling (plus, the old mclaren and ferrari bodies/ senna vs prost thing is fantastic!).

low nose bodies are my favorites. wider front arms are better, more stable. I got F104 pro and changed its arm to f103 ones.

In theory it is wider and has wider tires. So it should handle better. IDK but mine is personally the best handling rc car ive ever driven.

The F104 I have driven around the track had an Exotek conversion on it (so it might not count) but still had the F104 front arms. The F104 handled very neuttral and had great turn in. It also had good traction out of the turns on a 21.5T setup. My F104W tends to understeer (compared to the F104) on rubber tires. When running foams, it has neutral handling with predictable grip. I can be a bit more aggressive with the F104W on the throttle.

The wider stance (IMO) also looks pretty cool. Along with the Ferrari 643, Tamiya just needs to re-release the Williams FW14 and the collection would be complete.

the sensored motors are very good - heck Mark Rheinhard has used them for the last 3 World TC Championships

Ballistic 17.5 is fast in an F1. Very fast with 2s, comparable with 1/12 scale on our carpet. Not sure about gtb2, but I'm using old GTB and it is very fast. Too fast for me.

my 104w understeers but once it turns in it loves full throttle corner exit. on a high speed track it would be great. local track is small with medium grip at best

Default EXOTEK

Hi Guys,

I have just ordered a F103 Exotek chassis,

I must say I am very pleased with the service, very fast shipment and Mike included an extra gift in the package !
thank you again Mike !!!

I will be using this chassis mainly outdoor on an unprep track, we run foam and 13.5T - 2s Lipo

Would you have any set-up to share ?

thanks,
Raphael
