You will have less maintenance with the B44 as it is shaft driven. And the car is years newer ....

+1 on the Kyosho ZX-5 SP!

A buddy of mine and I raced the JConcepts Super Cup Finals yesterday and were the only Kyoshos in the field. We are some pretty hardcore 1/8 nitro buggy guys and this was our first electric race. But even with little practice time with the cars we placed 6th and 7th in the A-main! I'm pretty happy with this, all things considered.

The Kyosho just seems to be more planted and forgiving but equally fast and agile.

Hope this helps you in your decision...

B44. the car is very durable and easy to work on. I had the Losi years ago and remember it not being very maintenance friendly. I would go by what parts are readily available to you also.

I might just run a Lazer to be the oddball outcast at the track. I hate seeing 20-30 cookie cutter vehicles out there....

B44 way more durable and as far as any others the only one that I would consider would be another B44. I have ran mine at the track and have seen all others listed run too and by far the B44 is most durable just my .02 cents

Well if you really wanted to be different you would run a Yokomo as you could then truely be an outcast.

Oh really?

I run a Yokomo, and it's an awesome car. It is much more durable than any of the other 4wds out there.

Between the two, definitely the B44, shaft drive vs. belt, less maintenance, readily available parts, and handles better.

I had a B44 but went with a Tamiya TRF501X. IMO, a much better handling buggy than the B44 and lots more durable. At our local track its seems the B44 are very prone to breaking arms... I've had the TRF for sometime now, and the only thing to break is the front shock tower. Doubled it up no issues now....

Of course as you mention, parts can be problematic....

I had a Losixxx4G, it was okay and fun but I got to try a friends B44 later and it was much easier to work and drive. I have also raced a Kyosho and it is just as nice.
B44 first then maybe the kyosho ZX5, no on the Losixxx4G!

to answer the question that was asked between the two you listed get the B44, the XXX4 WILL break more and both more often and more easily.
