It's 52.95 with shipping or 58.95 with express shipping. It's a great charger my buddy has one. Inaddition it comes with all sorts of useful connectors.

Plus if he is buying the orion charger he should be getting it from his local track which would 59.99 + 8.75% sales tax. LOL

I'd rather get the Orion for a number of reasons. First, to support your local track, it is only a few bucks more. Secondly, while I know Joe has had good luck with his Turnigy, I am cautious to buy one. If it breaks, how will I get warranty work performed on it. We all know that Orion is very good with their warranty work. Just my 2 cents.

Take a look at the duratrax 230 advanced charger. Its 79.99, $20 more
but does a really nice job goes up to 7 amps, built in power supply or can be used in dc mode also. I been running one for 3 weeks now and love it . It is
whisper quite to when it charges. 10 battery memory mode. 5 different user
sound mode for when the battery is finished. It also has a small foot print.
That orion charger is nice though.

That Venom charge just looks like another Bantam knock-off. No way would I pay $130 for it when you can get the Turnigy and a cheap power supply for half the cost.

Has anyone used the Core r/c vdc 20? Looks alot like the Turnigy. BTW, which balance plug does the Turnigy accept?

Yes it seems the core charger is the same type. Made from the same crappy manufacture. I had bought a Core charger at the carpet Nats and it was bad out of the box. It was overcharging lipo's above the ROAR spec of 8.44 volts. So I sent it to Schumacher USA. They sent me a new one and the second charger had an internal fault. I kept getting short error messages. Si I sent that one back and it was finally fixed. I no longer have that charger. I know of another guy that had a blue version of this charger giving him problems. It seems there are about 5 different re-sellers of this charger. It is a great idea with the built in balancer. But I am personally hesitant to buy another one of these knock off chargers.

Thanks dodgeguy, it sucks re-learning all this stuff. I've been at this over 15 years and just now switching to lipo. BTW, I REALLY need to know which balance plug the charger end accepts. I got smc packs with the jst-hx plug and now I need a lead that has that, and what ever end the charger needs.
