Mixing 1/8 on road fuel

OK so I mixed my first batch of fuel using benol and techniplate. The frst thing I noticed is the fuel seems thinnier than the normal fuel and smells sweetish. Does this make sense? I started my motor up and it felt very crisp and responsive. Can fuel make such difference????????? I m running the weekend so lets see how it goes. Cheap good fuel seems the way to go
