Ive had nitros for about 3 years, ive learned a ton and know most about them but this confuses me.

i have a Cen Matrix

My pressure line runs to an aluminum pipe and after a few tanks of running (not all together) the pressure line splits about a half an inch up and looks discolored and burnt. ive only run plastic pipes and have never had this problem. so should i get the next size up in fuel tubing only for the pressure? as long as it fits right?

I would think your tubing is just touching something HOT! After the heat finally softens it up enough, its bursting. Just make sure its not touching heat, and make sure your lid is not pushing it down onto the pipe, and also make sure its not getting caught in any moving parts. The tubing should be the same size as the fuel line. There is no way that the pressure inside the tubing is hot enough to burst it, unless your engine temps are like 600 degrees

Thats really wierd. Make sure the pressure line is 6 to 8 inches long then +2 on what was said above.

I use Venom fuel tubing. They are a little bit thicker walled then some of the other manufacturers tubing. I have never had a problem with my pressure line splitting but I have gotten some discoloration of the pressure line. I believe this is normal due to the hot exhaust gases as well as some oil/fuel being pushed through the line causing the discoloration.

Before you go out to buy different fuel tubing, I would do what was recommended by the previous posters. Try to use fuel tubing clips to keep the tubing away from hot areas of the engine, pipe, and header. If that doesn't work then you can try a thicker walled tubing.

and its touching the nipple witch is also aluminum so its going to get hot

Thanks. Those are old photos. I now have red anodized counter sunk washers with titanium screws and red anodized lock nuts. I think it really looks sweet with all the new red parts. I'll take an updated picture when I get a chance.

where did you get that dial indicator for the hsn ...ive seen that before but havent been able to find one

I got them from Mark at R/C Hardware. If you are really interested in purchasing a dial, get the racing dial and not the sport one. The racing dial makes it a little easier to keep track of needle settings.

I would just replace all the tubing with new, its not like its expensive.

Also are you sure your body or something isn't pinching it against the pipe? Silicon tubing should have no problems with the heat coming off the pipe.

I am not sponsored by Cen. My very first nitro car was a Cen Matrix RTR and I stayed loyal to Cen beacuse of their affordabilty and duribility. I bought my Cen Matrix FRE kit for less than $300.00. That was significantly less than Kyosho, Mugen etc at that time. Don't get me wrong, those manufacturers have great products but I got my pro kit up and running for about the same price as a Kyosho MP777 WC kit cost alone.

I agree with Gliptal. Replace all the tubing or try a different way of routing the lines.

thats why i bought the matrix cheap
