Default Blue tooth RC

So I was down at my local track a few days ago checking out practice and a guy had a new type of electronics for a RC car. It's blue tooth technology with a new circuit board for the receiver. Right now its big, but soon to get smaller im sure. The data was sent back to the screen on teh receiver of what was happening. Engine temp and other things. The controller was quite bizarre too. Anyone else seen this technology applied to RC cars? Since its blue tooth, no more radio frequency issues (crystals) or glitching?? Bizzare I tell ya.
