Hi Adam,

your standard 2.0 setup sheet from the Losi site gives the rear toe and anti squat set by the adjustable pivots but it says 3 and 3 for toe and AS. The description has 0 blocks for toe which = 2 degrees according to the chart that comes with the blocks so which is correct?

The manual says to replace the outdrives and cross pins ( I'm guessing these are the pins that hold the outdrive in the diff?) after running in for 45-60 minutes to improve traction. Is this a once only or do you recommend replacing outdrives after each hour of running?

Do you have any other parts that are regularly replaced based on runtime? Is it possible to give a guide for parts that you would replace regular and how often you replace them? I guess I'm asking for a basic maintainance/reliability guide

thanks

cota348- If you liked the 2mm hexes on the 8ight, I would try them on the 8ight 2.0.

paul_j- Some of the charts are wrong. You want to run ones up and zeros in the back to get 3-3. The bones on the 8ight 2.0 are much hard and will last a lot longer. If you need more steering, I would flip the bones or replace them. As for when it's time to replace parts, it depends on the track conditions. Extreme RC did and article on the 8ight about this. I will try and find it.

Integra- Thanks! It was a great event and the people were very helpful.

The neo8 set up is for the 1.0 there are several 2.0 set ups available on losi's website but i would start with the box set up it's excellent i just made some camber adjustments to fit my driving and it was all good.

Hey Adam....I just got back on the Losi train. I was on the Kyosho MP9 bus for a few weeks and ended up back.

My question is have any of the team dudes been running the smart diffs? I drove Colby's car the other night at Rev and Dyno's car and they handled so differently. I was wondering if either one of those cats are running the diffs.
If so do you run both the front and the center or just the center?

Thanks, Brian Givens

Default Adjustable Pivots?

Question for the big guns. I never ran the adjustable pivots on my losi 8, I have now moved over to the 2.0 (still haven't ran it darn weather!) I have added the adjustable pivots front and rear on the 2.0 more for durability that anything, but would like to know what changing the front kick up would gain or lose as I have never messed with that adjustment. And also if I read it right on the front 1up in front and 0 in back is stock position. In rear same setup is stock for the antisquat and toe.
Thanks!
David

Brian Givens:

My car was not running a smart diff. Colby's setup is quite a bit different than mine. I will be out at Rev all day Friday, and all day saturday. Please stop by and I'd be happy to help you run through a few set-ups to see what you like!

So should I be looking at Total Anti and toe or REAL Anto and toe. I am confused.
