I've not been to this facilty and that is a question that should be posed to the host's staff.

I'm sure they will make accomodations.

If not I vote for Dawn to carry you up on the drivers stand

Default "Carpet Racers: A Documentary" is needin' some extra press...

"CARPET RACERS: A CRASH COURSE, the only documentary about the world of carpet racing, and radio control, is about to hit the film festival circuit.

The film is a year long journey into the funny and often cutthroat subculture of professional, competitive radio control race car drivers.

Press from the world of RC will not only help the film, but help the sport, as CARPET RACERS delves deep into the personalities and excitement that make carpet racing tick. The more festivals CARPET RACERS plays, the greater the chance for wider audiences, more exposure, and an increase in awareness of the great sport of competitive RC."

Anyone in RC or non-RC media that is interested in learning more about this awesome new deal - please contact Jay or Mike from Steel City Hobbies at: [email protected] or [email protected]. They will fill you on the exciting news and happenings!

Default Updates

Just a couple of things regarding previous announcements:

The mod class for this race will be open mod. Any ROAR legal motor will be allowed.

The WGT class is a paid entry. There was some confusion about this class but it's been sorted out and it will be an $80.00 entry for a National Champion.

The format for this race will be a qualifying points format. Your best two rounds count toward your position on the grid.

Hi, I direct the races at the "C" every week. There isn't a ramp to the drivers stand but if you don't mind driving from in front of the stand (on the track) I'm sure that would be okay with ROAR.
Thanks,
Casey

Ron, there isn't a host hotel our track is inside a hobby shop but very close to quite a few nice and reasonably priced hotels. Those hotels are listed on the entry form/flyer on ROAR's website along with the addresses and phone numbers.

a subject that i feared might come up if frederick got a big race. couple buddies from pa who were pondering a TC for winter and nats had those same concerns. casey, possibility of having 1 portion of the 'stand fence' on hinges, fold down or 'breakaway' for chair access? i know that doesnt solve the ramp issue, but perhaps a temp ramp could be pulled out by staff/racers to get a racer up to the stand then put away.
