Cool. That's a carpet track I take it? I've been thinking about running that race too.

Hi guys looking to get a tb-02
but i've read before that pinions and spurs are restricted so are the choice of gear ratios? is this true? if so may i ask whats the highest and lowest gearing you can go please?

also with the front one way, you have to buy the evo 3 one way right?

thanks in advance to all comments

ger ratio's go down to 5.01 with tamiya parts, using a F201 speed tuned spur and a 27tooth pinion

highest is 9.90 using 61 spur and 16 pinion

Yes, the Evo 3/Surikarn one-way is the one to use in the TB-02

Default Pinions

Westedude, The ratio they are refering to is the corse gears .6 module. similar to 48 pitch. I think the ones you are talking of are the .4 gears similar to 64 pitch, and I'm pretty sure you can get them up to 51 teeth.

Default Pinions

I'm not certain and I'm still learning the car, but the 28 I have is almost identical to the 27 I'm currently running. If dsrlbtoys is out there he knows a lot better than I do, but I mine is a Tamiya gear.

Well-what a suprise I got today. I took out my tb02 for my first sedan rubber tire experience. I expcted to slip an slide and push out the door-and I actually traction rolled the car!!! I guess its time to stiffen up the shocks. I still need HELP on a set-up-any set-up. SOmeones got to know something!!

All I can suggest is slightly more camber (so you don't get an edge of the tire biting in on carpet; on flat surfaces "pulling under" the outside rim means you understeer), lower ride height, and stiffer shocks like you said.
