2 things i could see it doing, less oil from the bearings on the shoes and less heat. i use them sometimes when i run carbon shoes.

Clutch bearings last longer for one. All the material that comes of the clutch shoes doesn't stay in the bell.

Ofna silver shoes last along time I'm using 1.0 or 1.1 springs.

i usually run the jammin blueshoes with 2 gold and 1 silver spring...
but i run on almost clay like track and dont get much sand or dirt in my shoes... but when i travel i do, but i get almost 10 or so full race days on a pair on my local track... but i do by shoe packages by the bulk ( 5 or 6) at time, just in case...
