I use a novarossi #6 standard in my 28-3. Gets 9 mins easily

That engine looks mighty simular to the RB 928. If it is the same specks as the RB engine, it is a extreamly powerful motor. Since Novarossi makes that engine also, it would not be a surprise. Same carb, block, head,crank, piston. It might be a refined 928.

What pipe works best with this engine? Any advantage to running this motor over the 528XR?

Iv tested the 28-3 with a few pipes like a tsais pipe, JP4, and the novarossi 9853. In the end I thought the 9853 complimented the engine the best.

Personally I think the Plus 28 is easier to tune and it holds its tune better over long races. I also find the powerband of the Plus 28 more predictable as compared to the 528.
