Default what fuel runs the coolest?

above...does anyone know...my friend and I are running wildcat right now and it seems to run hot. and I mean hot enough so water cant even touch the engine and it vapor locks. note:we are both running pretty rich if that makes any difference in temperature.

thanks for any replys

BTW he is running a TMAXX and i'm running a NMT and the fuel we are using is wildcat eliminator

heat on an engine could be generated cause other reasons. If u are running too hot of a plug for the fuel and engine compression then it could be preigniting or pre detonating. This can cause high temps and erratic idle. A drivetrain that is not free (gumed up clutch, bad bearings, ...) can also affect the engine temps.

Here is a link to some very good info. Check it out, re-tune your engine and let us know how it worked out. http://www.parisracing.com/engine_tu...coversheet.htm

corvettecrazy;

If you're using the standard Sport Engines that came with the vehicles. Hot running is normal, even with a rich mixture.

A fuel with a higher percentage of Oil may help some, but don't expect a miracle cure. Shoot for a Maximum Cylinder Head temp of 280 F (slow sizzle)

Pit Stop is the coolest running fuel I have found, gives great power too.

Find a fuel with higher oil content. Also synthetic and caster oil have diff. propertys so you might want to check them out (these may also affect the way the oil works). And if you can get the lowest nitro fuel you can find without affecting the engine performance. Sometimes engines with higher than normal nitro content dont even gain much horsepower, but will get unneccisary extra heat.

Oil creates heat. The higher tho oil content the more heat your going to have. thast why 20% runs cooler than 10% it has less oil.

a higher oil content fuel should make your engines run cooler...
