I bash with slicks all the time, there's nothing wrong with using them for bashing. The cool thing is since they're slicks when they get worn they still offer the same feel unlike treaded tires which when worn turn into slicks which changes the grip level.

the tires use tire glue to mount them to the rim. my tire glue is old and unbonded.

Slicks are fine for bashing, as long as you dont go offroad
You MUST use inserts to hold the tire up & glue the tire to the rim (CA glue)
Or buy some preglued tires

When you using foam inserts on the HPI when they were ballooning?


What does the different # mean beside the tire?

What about when bashing and the parking lot has a lot of small pebbles aren't patterned better?

yeah, u have to have the foam inserts. with good glue id imagine they would balloon more on the inside than outside. but then for bashing ballooning isnt really a big deal.

Inserts have nothing to do with ballooning. A belted tyre will stop ballooning
Inserts hold up the tyre, like a car/bike innertube
Perhaps heavy treaded/offroad-rally tyre may be better for you, it sounds pretty rough where you are going to run ...

So i don't know what tires you get someone on here was saying the HPI ones on here ballooned on them, I will be bashing on asphalt that might sometimes have small pebbles so what should i get? Also what does the number mean beside the tire?

so the 9t is the lowest the 35a ESC can handle right?

Short answer, Yes ! To be honest the 60amp is better for the 9T as has some headroom, but as long as you do not gear the motor too wildly then the 35amp should be sufficient for the 9T.

Honestly either buy the EzRun 60amp or spend a couple of extra bucks and get the Xerum 60 amp sensored version, much more programmable.

ima basher the next thing speed wise would be 11.1v lipos. cant go with smaller gearing cause the belt on my sprint 2 is already rubbing the can.

Hi all,

I have a new eZrun combo and I try to recalibrate and use it with my KO Helios Ex-10. There is no problem with braking and going backward but with going forward, the flash leds on esc keep flashing both green and red and it stands still, after a delay, it punches. It's like a delay time before going forward. Do you guys know why is that?

On your transmitter set throttle to REVERSE, remove two wires (any) from your motor and swap their locations, this will solve your problem, remember to recalibrate your radio to your ESC after doing this though.
