Recently overheated and smoked a 2350 motor anyone know a good replacement or where to get a new one? I had it connected to the 150 and it was the combo motor.

So it's been awhile since I posted in this thread ( about 4-5 pages ago) but here it goes.
I bought a 65A ESC with the 8.5T for my Slash. I installed everything last night, it was about 45-50F and I only got a chance to run my car for about 5-8minutes. The ESC was cold to the touch and the motor was room temp... about 70F. No cogging what so ever, if I mash on the throttle, I have instant power. Brakes are VERY good and progresive. All the settings are as it comes out of the box.
The motor is perfect for the Slash in terms of speed. Not to much, but still plenty quick. I'd say it's about the same as a GOOD 14T motor in a regular 1/10th scale car/buggy. My buddy has a radar gun that I'll see if I can get my hands on, but right of the top, I'd say it at least 30mph, no more than 35mph.
Later this afternoon I'm going to give it the torture test and run 1 if not two 2S 6500Mah lipos through it non-stop(about 45-60mins run time each pack).
Heres my setup Stock spur 86t? 18t pinion
Rx: Novak XXL (in the stock water tight case)
Tx: Airtronics M11
Battery: Max Amps 2s 6500Mah
Esc/Motor: Hobby Wing 65A / true 540 sized 8.5t hobby wing
So for all the guys that want to run this in the Slash... I think this thing is going to work perfect, and as of right I can't see any problems running this steup in the Slash... then again I didn't want this for all out speed I wanted something QUICK without killing my runtimes. I might try the 23t pinion that came with the Slash just to see how it does... but I think it's right where I want it with the 18t pinion... as long as the temps stay down.

heck yeah man! Have you messed with the program card to dial out some brakes? I think the smaller motors 9t and up are perfect for TC cars.
I'm just gald that after reading all the posts of people hating on the motors beacuse they bought the wrong one for their application, my stuff still worked out so well.

Hey guys,
What would be a good ratio to gear my stadium truck at, with a 9t?

from what I've heard is use a +2 tooth pinion than you would on a brushed motor of a similar spec.
Myself I just use the stock gearing and adjust from there. On my Slash it's geared at 18/86 stock, and to be honest for my 8.5T that was perfect. I tried the other pinion they include with the kit 23/86 and it lost a lot low end. So I'll be going back to the 18/86.. i might try a 20/86 and see how I like it, but to be honest it's pretty darn good at 18/86
I'm not sure if that help, but that's how I do it.
