New problem I can't figure out. I am trying to set the drag brake but no matter if I set the drag brake setting at 0 or 40% it does the same nothing. I have the brake force set at 75% I tried it at 100 and it just locked up to much for me. All the other settings I program thru the program card work fine but I can't get the drag brake right. What could I be doing wrong.

Has any of you guys mess with the ESC timing? What does it do actually? Is it really working? Its for EZrun 60A with 5.5T combo.

I bet you can, I m running mine in a TC with 2cells Lipo, the ESC is barely warm at all.

I changed the timing on my esc. I am running a Novak 10.5 with 60A esc. Before I upped the timing it seemed like it didn't have any real power. After I changed the timing it had all the get up and go I needed. The only thing to make sure is that the esc is not getting hot when you change the timing. I had to go up a pinion size to keep it cool.

Hey guys... Im thinking of buying a ezRUN Brushless system since its way cheaper than the rest. My question is, what is the difference between this brushless sytem and the rest? Is the KV rating lower than the other motors with the same turns? What is the KV rating anyway? Can someone please shed me some light.

its cheaper because you're buying direct from china. THey aren't sticking a label on the product and doubling the price. The KV rating on the blue finned motors is lower because they are actually 360 motors in 540 sized cans (hence the fins). KV is the number of RPM per volt.

I just bought a 3racing heat sink with fan for my motor. Question is can I just solder the fan wires to the ESC's fan wires together? The heat sink fan rated at 7.2V. Will this affect anything especially the ESC's performance? I want to do this coz the wires are short and they can only reach the ESC easily hence nearer.

you can solder then onto the INPUT wires to the ESC... so it's basically connected to the batt pack even when esc is turned off.

yeah, just splice the motor fan onto the ESC one in parallel.

My dad is having a problem with his 35 amp and 3000kv motor. It is massive cogging un-drivable, He changed drag break and test it was fine 5 mins later he went out and now he suspects it is dead, should I just buy a new one? Fix it?

I will ask cannon for a discount for another one cause he is a very nice guy
