Terrible battery?

Am I going to regret getting this battery? I need a new one for my transmitter, the only one they had at my LHS was over 50 bucks, and it was the same MaH. What gives, is this thing just junk? Thanks

I wouldn't get it... small NiMh are terrible for transmitters.. you'll be charging it alot! They don't store energy very well and you'll be constantly charging it every weekend if you forget to charge before you go to the track...
I use alkalines... 2 packs 99cents store... just as good as duracells...

I probably wouldn't get that on either. I use rechargable AA nimhs in my transmitter and they seem to work just fine. By the time u pay shipping on that you might as well go with the sure thing and get some rechargables or a big pack o cheap AA's like JeromeK99 suggested.

Get a cigar lighter charger adaptor for your transmitter. Plug it on the day before your go to your race. I do that during the day when i need to go for practice. It charges your NimH quite good and you wont be worrying about forgeting to charge it on the way to your practice.

I run a lipo in my Helios. I can charge the pack once and get about 6 qualifiers and 3 20min mains out of it before i have to recharge it, and the transmitter so SO MUCH lighter then it is with standard AA's. Also, i had rechargeable AA's and i almost had to charge it every day before i raced....kinda sucked if i forgot to do that.

Oh yeah, i paid about 14 bucks for my lipo too. It's a common sense one. Bought it almost 2 years ago at LHS. Do the math, if you race once a week and replace batteries every 2 weeks at 2 bucks for the cheapy batteries you're still spending like $52 a year. $14 for two years worth of racing, i'd say that's the better deal

Hey Guys,
I would 100% reccomend VXR Li-po's.
I have a 2300 Mah VXR Li-Po in my EX 10 Helios.
From a full charge, i can easily go 8 hours of racing, but i never let mine go below 11v, just to be safe.
It also makes the Transmitter much lighter!
VXR are quite expensive, but they are definately worth it.
Check out the Link,

Good Luck, hope you find something.
P.S. I would stay right away from what you are looking at on ebay..
