I have seen many pics of the event. And I have noticed many, if not all, the engines have some sort of tag attached below the engine heat sink. What is this for? Is this neccesary and a requirement to race there??

all motors get tags/seals put on them after tech inspection.

I imagine that the engines must be inspected by race control to make sure they all conform to the rules, and I asume that that is a inspection tag.

why do all the fuel tanks and fuel lines have red ink on them? is this some kind of inspection?

Your allowed a maximum of 3 engines for the event after practice. So you must get the 3 engines you wish to use taged before racing starts by the scrutinering
